For example, if you sold residential real estate along the Gulf Coast between Grand Isle, Louisiana and the Florida panhandle between April 21, 2010 and December 31, 2010, you may be entitled to compensation from the settlement. Sold properties which qualify for compensation are entitled to a payment equal to 12.5% of the sales price of the property.

Who is included in the Medical Benefits Settlement?

The following benefits are provided to people who qualify:
• Payments for acute (short-term) and chronic (ongoing) medical conditions occurring after exposure to oil or chemical dispersants
• Periodic medical examinations
• Creation of a Gulf Region Health Outreach Program, consisting of projects to strengthen the healthcare system
